The owners of this space are a dynamic mother-daughter duo, Carla and Chelsey. Carla, 55, has been an Educator and Early Childhood Consultant for over thirty years. Chelsey, 27, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in Trauma Therapy and holistic therapeutic modalities.

Chelsey became passionate about holistic wellness in 2014,  and then learned about yoni steaming in 2016 after struggling with reoccurring BV and Yeast Infections. The steam produced positive results and she desired to provide this service to other women, so she began doing her own research (eventually inviting Carla to join the fun). In March 2018, both women were certified  as Yoni Steam Practitioners and Womb Wellness Coaches under Feminine Roots after completing over 40 hours of training, including 8 hands-on hours with real clients. Since then, over 300 women have been serviced at their location in Charlotte, NC and the duo  is excited to continue their growth.

"As the owners of The Yoni Connection, it is our aim is to reduce stigma and misinformation related to women's health including sexual and reproductive health. As women we understand the lack of information that is often provided, even by ours gynecologists, to aid in maintaining overall wellness using self healing modalities and all natural treatments. There is a need for  our work, and we are honored to serve as a piece to the puzzle for women in Charlotte and surrounding areas."
